Guilford Guy,
Ask yourself, why have I never seen a picture, other than a caricature, of the Bach-man on this board?

the Bach-man

Dear Hunt,
Actually, Paul's picture isn't too far off...
Have fun!

Yampa Bob

Actually, that's a picture of Paul, waiting for his wife to unlock the basement door so he can go to the bathroom.   :D

Its a B&M Berkshire like this one.

Their 2-10-2's had a similar look

Those were some ugly engines with the coffin feed water heater on the front.

Intresting, and notice the bell is moved downward. I wonder if any scale model of that locomotive were created.

The T1 Berkshires are very common in Brass, having been sold to ATSF and SP later in life.
NJ Custom Brass did a model of the S-1b 2-10-2's, but they are rather hard to find.

Does that mean I might have a chance at see an ATSF one? But yet you did say that they are rather rare. Perhaps that ALCO steamer in ATSF would do me little better. But nothing like a Berkshire!

Santa Fe rebuilt one of those ugly engines 4197 in a beautiful locomotive.
