There's been a rumor floating around for a couple of years that the C&O J-3 was coming out in other than brass.

sadly its a no go for on on my layout anyway.  18 inch radius curves.

you could take over the surrounding rooms and run larger curves

I've been doin some thinking about changing the outer mainline to 22 inch but... it wouldn't be  able to traverse the crossing to the inner loop, around devils loop and to the yard.
