Lionel HO 4-6-6-4 W/ sound(DC)

Engine runs/pulls good, but, the sound is funny. It has a loud sterm letof sound every ten to twelve seconds. I have tried to the best of my  knowledge to correct, but no luck. I would like some input from some of you folks with knowledge of how to fix, or where to send to get it fixed.
