I have a new Bachmann 4-4-0 which has real problems
crossing EZ Track turnout frogs.  Frequently seems to ram right
into them.  Is there any way to modify these frogs?

Do you have other locomotives as well?  Do they successfully make it through the troublesome frogs?  If the answer to both questions is "yes" then the problem is probably with your new 4-4-0 rather than with the turnouts.  If other locomotives also derail, then the problem is probably with the frogs or guard rails in the turnouts (the guard rails are the short ones set just inside the running rails opposite the frog.  Their job is to keep the wheels on the side toward the frog away from the point of the frog.)

To be certain which is causing the problem, use an NMRA H0 track and wheel gauge to check the turnouts and also the gauge (spacing) of the locomotive wheels.  Don't think of this as something that you had to buy to check just one locomotive just one time.  Think of your track and wheel gauge as the first tool to reach for anytime there is a derailment any place on your layout.
Growing older is mandatory but growing up is optional.
