Spectrum 44 ton with sound

Attention to details is very good.  Where did that horn come from?  All I could think of was Harpo Marx's horn with adenoids.  It was all very well done, Rich.

Ok, I missed this reply. You have to realize, we are boys playing with toys. Model railroading is just an analogy of the real thing and all analogies break down somewhere.
This is an attempt at HO scale to reproduce the real thing.

That sounds like some type of Europen prototype.  I'm guessing it is an ESI-LOK Sound decoder, because that sure sounds like a European type of horn/whistle. 

Soundraxx has the proper GE44 ton loco sound in their Tsunami product line.  The prototype GE 44 ton loco used two Cummins diesel truck engines.  SoundTraxx offers that sound set in the TSU-750 decoder.  I'm in the process of installing one of these now in one of my GE44 ton units.  For a speaker, I'm using a mini-oval and enclosure partially mounted in the cab.

The LokSound Micro was programmed by Bruce at Litchfield Station with the 44 ton sound. I can hear the two engines start. I just did not mess with the sounds. I don't count all the rivets.
I use the 750's also but in steam. The Tsunami does have better control of the sounds though.
I used a 750 in a Climax loco and the fine tunning of the sounds is a lot better than the LokSound.
