96 years ago at 2:20am RMS. Titanic was lost in the north Alantic along with 1,500 men women and children.

Maybe that would explain why i was in such a sour mood(I was so busy yesterday i didnt have time to think of the date, and i'm a big Titanic Fanatic)

Why an American flag on a truck dedicated to a British registered ship?  And yes, I know that White Star Line was owned by an American consortum at the time.

But it was British registered and British manned.  It obeyed British Board of Trade rules - like the number of life boats carried.   :'(

BTW, there is apparently one survivor left alive.  She was only about two months old when the ship foundered.

My grand parents couldn't get booking on the Titanic so had to take the next ship.

Do you know why?  The ship was way below full booking.  In fact the stateroom used in TITANIC (the 1990's movie) was vacant.  That one was quite expensive, but there were available staterooms or berths in all three classes.

It could have been the speed at which they wanted the titanic out of England on its maiden voyage. After all, it was in competition with other ships.
