Can a standard E-Z Command Controller be used as a Walk-Around Companion?

There can only be one command station.  You can have several extension panels and EZ Companion walk arounds, but they all feed back to the command station, which sends the commands to the locos.

Guess that's a roundabout way of saying "no".
