Hi to all,
What 50's era passenger cars will negotiate 18"
curves?
                                      Thanks for your help:)

Since this was posted under General Discussion, what scale? HO?

If you are talking about HO, Athearn and Con cor make shorter cars that will run on 18" radius, but even those look bad doing so.

I presently run on 18", and it's my observation that any car over 50 foot looks pretty bad.  But since your question was "negotiate"?..I would say perhaps if your trackwork is perfect.

For an example of how long cars look, even on 22" curves, take a look at "McKinley Explorer" on page 18 of the 2008 Bachmann catalog.

I know what I wrote, I don't need a quote
Rule Number One: It's Our Railroad.  Rule Number Two: Refer to Rule Number One.

that depends on how long the car is. you would probally be better off getting a wider track probally 22 radius. if you are planning on to have a lot of trains and passenger cars you should have 2 tracks, but then you need 18 and 22 radius curves to run along each track

                                          hope it helps!!!
