You will have to gut al the circuitry from the tender...

Prototypically, I know of no 4-8-4 with a Vanderbilt tender, especially a 16,000 gallon one. By the time the 4-8-4 appeared, technology had caught up with the Vandy.  AFAIK, the 4-6-4, 2-8-4, and 4-8-4 never had a Vandy, though the VT&P doesn't know that.  ;D

Thanks but I do not need it to be prototypical. Also thanks for the pictures. :)

Well with the pictures available you can claim to be prototypical if you wanted.

No surprise but the GTW 4-8-4's also ran Vandy tenders.

In the crazy mixed up world of railroading, I have learned to take a cue from James Bond:   Never say never...

I've studied Steamers for a year, and only learned enough to be dangerous.  :D
