I am new to HO railroading and need to know how to wire switches

The track or the switch machine?  What make of switch and machine?

Dear Doug,
Assuming you have our analog turnouts, first gang the buttons together. Run two wires from the AC terminals to the first button. Then run the three wire harnesses from each controller to its respective switch.
It's that simple!
