Is it possible to change the tender from the 2-6-6-2 locomotive with another locomotives tender?

The 16V tender works fine on it.  The smaller USRA/Consolidation tenders will work with a board swap, but they are too small for it.  The 2-8-4 tender would look good behind it, but whether that would work or not I don't know.
