Those trucks are remeniscent of the old 60 & 100 ton box cabs built by Alco, GE and Ingersoll Rand (AGEIR).

But the paint scheme is hardly from the 30s?

A GE 70 tonner?

I guess if you are being really pedantic you could argue it was not a Mason as it was built by ALCO (Schenectady Works), but it is a Mason Fairlie or Mason Bogie type.

Mason acquired a licemce for the Fairlie articulated locomotives from Robert Fairlie and developed the Single Fairlie design into the locomotive we all know and love. Hence Mason Fairlie is the most accurate term, even if mason Bogie is the common term.

yep! you nailed it..

and no, I was not being pedantic because technically it is not a Mason Bogie!  ;)
a Mason Bogie would be built by Mason only.
so it is correct, and not pedantic, if I say it is "not a Mason Bogie"..
but you are correct about everything else.

The green and white locomotive is a CP&LT GE 44 tonner.  Most 44 tonners have steps on the ends rather than the sides.
