Does anyone know the part number for the Pittman motor fitted to the latest generation large scale 4-6-0 please

armorsmith

Based on personal experience hunting the Pittman used in the K27 it is likely a 'custom' motor for Bachmann (Kader).  They are NOT friendly about sharing that information.
If you can find one not in an engine and measure it you can likely find one that is close enough in the Pittman catalog to work.
Good luck.  Bob C.

Where is it stated the 4-6-0 is a Pittman motor? Just curious...

From the 91803 Instruction Manual.

"powerful PittmanĀ® precision-balanced can motor"

I find that hard to believe, because Pittman merged with another company, and the motors they make NOW are too expensive for the 4-6-0....

If you research what Pittman makes NOW, those motors are way too expensive. Pretty sure the motor in the K27 was a pittman though, but that was years ago.

Anyone have an actual picture of the motor and it showing the Pittman logo? (Even Aristo had Mabuchi motors with their logo, even the counterfeits) (another story)
