Hello the forum,
I was gifted some structures that have lighting and need to know how and what is needed to energize the lighting(wiring).
Thank you in advance.

How you'll want to connect these is going to be completely dependent on if yo're connecting them permanently, semi-permanently, or temporarily.

But your first step is going to be seeing if the lightbulbs work. Reach into the structure (if you can) and tighten the bulbs. Find the AC posts on your powerpack. Make sure your powerpack is plugged in and hold the wires to the AC posts. Bulb should light. If not, turn track power on high and touch the wires to the DC posts (track power). If they still don't light, you have to replace the bulb.

If the bulbs light up, you're good to go. Go get a spool of electrical wire from your local hardware or craft store or order it online. Two-stranded wire will work easiest.
Grab a bigger spool than you think you'll need, trust me.

Thank you bbmiroku,
I'll have p/u a controller with a/c posts or something else to power the structures which do have pigtails on them.

Thanks again.

you need to find out if they are led or incandescent bulbs before you connect to power

I thought that with AC power, it didn't matter which way the wires went?
