Track Cleaning by Hand

Hi Y'all, what do you recommend to keep track clean by hand without making a mess? Scotch Brite or something similar maybe? I ordered some conductive oil to apply afterwards. Thanks!

if you are removing oxidation, something different...

if you are removing rust, something different.

Mother's Mag Polish. It will turn that brass a pretty silver (no oxidation) and it will stay like that for quite some time.
On30 for me, N scale for my son.

Interesting... preventing oxidation means there is a coating of some type on the rail. Have you noticed any reduction in electrical pickup?
