For HO, 15" radius is the smallest curve in the EZ-Track line. Anything smaller you have to either use flex-track, or one of the European mfg's for tighter sectional track.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

Use wider radius than that if you at all can, such sharp curves like 15" are vexations to operation in many dimensions.

Unless you are running really long diesel locos like with 6 wheel trucks or 2-8-0, 4-8-0 type steam, 15" isn't a problem except for how the overhang looks. I run HO F7's, an F40PH and 2-6-0 steam on mine with some 15" radius curves. I also run my On30 2-6-0 with no problem.

By necessity I run 15" radius HO track on my On30 layout. I like small steam engines, so my roster consist mainly of 0-4-0 and 0-4-2 Porters which run without any problems. I also have a 2-6-2T trench locomotive, a 50-ton Whitcomb diesel and a 0-6-0 steamer. On the layout I have two short, sharp back-to-back opposing curves. All of the above locomotives negotiate them without problems, except for the 0-6-0. Due to its rigid wheelbase, it derails on the opposing curves. However the 2-6-2T has no problems. So needless to say, the 0-6-0 sits, looking very pretty, in the yard and at Christmas time, runs on the Christmas village layout when we set it up. All in all, I've no complaints about going with 15" and would do it again. Hope this helps.
