 Hello,
I am going to keep the turntable I purchased DC powered for all my old locomotives. The instructions are not very clear on how to do this. I know I need a separate power source so which do you recommend for DC power? I need to take out the encoder and I'm not sure which part to remove, the instructions are not detailed. If you have better instructions or video it would be greatly appreciated. Some online videos talk of a blank to be removed and I don't see that either.

Thanks

The cheapest thing to do is go to a swap meet or a "local" hobby shop to see if they have an 80s or 90s power pack from either Bachmann, Tyco, or LifeLike.
As long as it has 2 dc terminals and 2 ac terminals and a knob to control dc power, it'll work.
Usually they will be less than $5.
And you can use the ac terminals for some lighting or action accessories.

Tip for the OP: It's not really a good idea to use your email address as a user name in forums.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.
