EZ Command Controller older one

My Ez Command will not run my loco forward or back. It performs all of the sound functions just no movement.

okay so Im new to model railways and this site so not sure where you start-your the lucky first . purchased a 2nd hand unit and there was a problem, red lights flash. the controller was new  in the box. just tried to run a dcc loco on its own track. help?

The 2nd hand locomotive is likely the source of the problems.  You don't know what kind of life it had before you got it, and many defective ones are dumped accordingly.

You need to try to locate another engine that is known to perform properly, and try running it with your EZ command, which is new and supposedly is trouble free.  If your test engine runs well, you'll know the problem is your secondhand engine. Which I suspect is the problem.
