EZ DCC controller compatability

I have a DCC equipped Inter Mountain locomotive.  Can I use a Bachmann EZ DCC controller with this locomotiveY

The E-Z Command Control Center system can run the locomotive and activate or deactivate functions mapped to F0 through F8.

If the locomotive has a factory installed decoder it is likely one made by ESU. You cannot take advantage of most of the ESU decoder features and functions using the E-Z Command Control Center. You cannot even reset the decoder.
