SC-44 Charger Corridor Light

Just purchased a new SC-44. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the corridor light working? I have tried function 9 following the manual and it has yet to light up. I have tried in in DC mode as well. It seems most of the other functions are working as listed, but the corridor light is a no go. Any thoughts?
