HO remote snap switches

I added 2 right hand snap switches to my oval and created a short circuit, I guess because of the polarity change.

Will I eliminate the short circuit when I add 2 left hand switches and create a traditional figure eight planning to run one train.

Or is there more involved in setting up a figure eight using snap switches ?
