New to MRR

If I purchase a Bachmann DCC Train Set(oval track, DCC Loco and EZ Command Controller) then later want to add a turnout--- will the EZ Command controller operate the  switch on the turnout?

if the answer is no-- do you have to purchase a different controller?  what does Bachmann have??

if the answer is yes--- then will the Bachmann EZ Command controller work with another brand of turnout (like Kato Unitrack turnout)

Probably just a basic question, but I won't assume

Welcome.

There are DCC controlled turnouts and turnouts that are controlled by switches using AC power from the power pack. The instructions are in the Information Page. Do some-searching. It will take a little time since you are new. There is a learning curve.
I would recommend to look through some of the General discussion and HO forum discussions and the Bachmann site in general.

The E-Z Command Control Center will operate  any factory decoder equipped E-Z Command Turnout but not any other turnout brands.
