Yes.  In fact the Soundtraxx board made for the Spectrum Consolidation will work on the light Mountain with just a bit of work.

You won't regret it. I've been very happy with mine and I just recently installed a bachmann decoder and it was a breeze. Just don't put it in backwards like I did the first time.
