EZ App ?

Bought a second RS3 new on ebay. Powered up Bachmann DCC track, put engine on and off it goes. My first EZ App engine was version 1.1 for Android. Ran it, works fine. App does not recognize new purchase. Is my new purchase an original for Apple IOS only? And, if so, any way to make it run with the "for Android" app?
