How many cars  or weight will this engine pull on level ground;  using Brass LGB tracks

Also had can I replace the spring that puts pressure on the front power pick up wheels ?  Keeps jumping off on any switch
with a R=1  30* curve

Honestly speaking, I have no clue on how many cars that thing can pull. I have the overland limited (4-8-4) and it can pull about 20 cars on my flat layout. Guessing the number, I would say your 4-6-0 could probably pull about ten cars, maybe more, maybe less.

Now, about the spring...
I don't have any experience fixing tht kind of thing, so I have no clue.
