New to Trains and have a DCC question

New to trains and confused on DC-DCC. My wife bought me a ton of EZ track. Can you run DCC and DC on it? Some turn outs are DCC and DC. Will it affect the locomotives? Any help would be great.

E-Z Track can be used with DC or DCC.
As for the turnouts, I'll defer to someone with more knowledge as to DC and DCC.
