Caboose roof removal 27799 QUESTION???

Hello folks. Just acquired a caboose 27799 and want to install Tomar marker lights. So... how do I remove the roof without damage to ladders or
anything else??   Thanks, Ken

From memory, you should be able to carefully remove the ladder from the holes at the bottom of the ladder in the floor of the caboose.  Then when you pop off the roof it will come along with it and you can then remove it from the holes in the roof.  You can also leave it in place and when you pop off the roof carefully slide it out of the holes in the roof, but that's harder.

BTW, I've broken a ladder.

Well, I had good luck this time.  I started to pry gently on the ladders,  and the whole end assembly with the railing, brake wheel, and ladder popped loose.

Two bits of cement held it on the car body! Other side, same thing ... came off with no damage. Removed  roof with everything attached.
