lubricate H16-44

I have an H16-44 which makes a loud noise when operating.  I think the gears need to be lubricated.  How do I remove  the shell so I can lubricate the gears?

This link may help.  I've tinkered with my baby trainmasters quite a bit.  Once the screws underneath are removed, everything else is pretty straight forward.  Make sure not to lose the spacers that keep the two frame halves separated.  They carry current to the motor.
