Connecting bus to ez command controller?

I'm working on my first ho layout. It's 5x12. I am soldering feeder wires to several sections of track as I've seen is recommended.  I will connect the feeder wires to a bus but I'm wondering how to connect the bus to the EZ Command Controller.

You will have one buss wire for each rail.....and two wires coming out of the EZ Command unit. Cut the plug off, seperate the two wires for about 6 inches, then solder one wire to each rail buss.
