How to Remove Shell of new DCC-equipped GE 44-ton?

I want to put the Great Northern shell of my old two-motor DC GE 44-ton loco onto my brand-new one-motor DCC-equipped GE 44-tonner. It was easy to remove the shell of the old one: a) remove the couplers; b) remove the screw in each of the tanks under the loco. Shell came right off!

I have done a) and b) to the new DCC-equipped loco — but the shell doesn't seem to want to let go. I don't see anything else to remove.

What am I missing? The parts diagram doesn't seem to be of help.

Anyone have any experience with this? I really don't want to break this new loco!

Will appreciate your wisdom.

I have what might be second generation single motor DCC ready. The shell comes off easily.
Maybe Bachmann put small projections onto the frame to fit into hollow spots on the shell. Slip some tooth picks between the frame and shell and take a look. A few Bachmann diesels were like that. The shell would then slip off. Just a guess if no more screws or maybe a tight fit.
