Running Dual Mode DCC decoder on Analoge DC

I just bought a new Bachmann 4-6-0 loco.The manual states sound will be present as it is DCC sound decoder also.
Did I read that incorrectly ? Loco runs very nice using DC controller MRC 1370 , bit no sounds.
Is there more needed to be added?

What does the box say? Does it say DCC Sound? Or Sound ready? The old rule of thumb was green box, no sound. Gold box, sound.
Pop off the coal load on the tender and look inside. Is there a speaker?
