Intechangeability of shells

I have DCC on Board GP - 40 with a damaged shell and want to replace it with a GP 38-2 shell since that is my go to locomotive.  Is this possible?

Yes you can.  Look at my thread (Locomotive Shells) on this forum area.  I updated it today so it would show right above
yours.
