IrishRailway set

I Have received an Irish Railway Set and it apears to have parts were there is some assemblly required.  I received it with no pakaging or paperwork just the cars, locomotive and parts.  what iss the track configuration.  Is it DCC or DC, if DCC will it run DC.  I know io sound like an idiot but I have given All the info that I know about the train.

    If you gave all the information you have, then it is probably a regular DC set.  As for the parts, What do they look like?
