Where is the best place to mount your remote switches for the EZ track?

Where you can't reach them.  Since we do not know what your layout looks like it is hard to answer your question.

The layout is "U" shaped. Two 4x8's connected by a 4'x30" piece. The 12lenghth is against the wall. The rest is accessible.

Inaccessible layout areas will "always " come back to bite you.  I learned the hard way.
