Just getting shipped to me the D&S n gauge (n scale) set and would like to use the flexi track I found at the hobby store.  I have a very small area that I would like to make a tighter radius on if possible.  Anyone have any specific advice for this particular set?  I am planning to set it up for use in a small Christmas diorama and take it down after the first of the year.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Best Regards to all the train enthusiasts .... Ruth

FWIW
My 0-6-0 (latest version with new motor) handles 9 ¾r snap track.
Have not tried anything less than that, so can't comment
My advice is to first balance it... and then add a Spectrum tender.
That will make it a different loco.

Good luck

It can be really hard to make real tight radius curves with flex track and not create kinks. If you want tight curves for a temporary layout, I would suggest using Kato 216mm (8.5") radius Uni-Track instead. Unfortunately, Bachmann doesn't make an N-scale curve that tight.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

Thank you for the replies.. I am always glad to hear from folks that have experience with these small trains and tracks.  It sure is taxing my eye sight as I will be working on my first diorama in over 50 years.  Still as much fun as the Lionel I learned on.    lol  Sure helps being a sculptor for all the rest of the details.

Happy roasted beast feast day this week everyone!
