gluing gears together

4x8x4 wheels on my Bachmann 5301 fall off can they be glued to the gears. I tried to ask if they can be replaced and never got a answer. and what kind of glue can be used. I was thinking type of glue you mix.

This is an older model.  Parts will be rare.

I would steer away from mix glues (epoxy).  If you glue it in out-of-quarter, then all hope is lost.

Might I suggest some strong version of "Loctite".  Should hold the wheels in, yet you will still be able to manipulate them with doing permanent damage.
