How to reset Bachman DCC Version 46 decoder.

I have a Bachman Diesel engine with comes with installed DCC (Version 46) decoder / no sound.
The engine was purchased new but has never run well on the lower end.  So, I am looking for the
proper way to do a reset to factory specs. 
I would also like to know if their is a CV chart somewhere for this type decoder so I can review
