How much room under the shell in Amtrack (Acela/Phase II) and GG1?

I am looking for a DCC-ready loco to put a BlueRail board in. The boards are a little wide (28mm), but I have seen them put in wider passenger locos. I am considering the Amtrak Acela, the Amtrak Phase II, and the HO GG1.

Does anyone own one of these 3 locos, and have you ever had a look under the shell? I'm curious if there is room in there to put a 28mm (1.1") wide board and if they are DCC-Ready.
