#44548 Auto reversing track

Is it possible to use this track to run a regular string of cars, in this case an a proto 2000 Subway set back and forth on a shelf using a regular (MRC rail power 1200) power pack?

Also doed Bachmann no longer sell curved reversing track?  I could not find it in the store.

The auto-reversing track works with the electronic reversing components in Bachmann Auto-Reversing sets. Reversing is triggered by metal wheels.  Reversing electronic components not sold separately.
