DCC Ready

I'm awaiting delivery of a Bachmann SD40-2 Diesel that is DCC ready.  I run straight DC.  Is there anything I must do the locomotive before I run it on DC?

it should be setup for dc right pout of the box. dcc ready means the motor has been isolated from the chassis, and thus no major rewiring is necessary to add a dcc decoder. often these locomotives have a socket to plug in a decoder. in this case, the socket will come equipped with a dummy plug that allows dc running.
