How to add rivets?

Does anyone know a good way to add rivets to models? I have a few models that are missing the rivet detailing on them.

There are decals with rivets on them.  The name of the company escapes me at the moment.  Search for rivet decals with google or bing or something.  They are easy to use and look very good after painting.

So how do you put them on the model? Do you cut a section out and put it on the model or do they come off the paper like glue dots?
