Replace 4-4-0 headlight LED

I want to replace the 4-4-0 "orange" headlight LED with warm white LED.  What is the voltage of the factory installed LED?   In a perfect world, I would like to use a surface mount LED but, that may be a bit beyond my ability with this locomotive.   Thanks, Scott
