Disassembling the new retooled 4-4-0 American Sound Value engine

I recently bought the new HO scale Sound Value 4-4-0 American. It's a really great engine.
However, I want to repaint the boiler another color.
How do you remove the locomotive's shell? I've been looking for the screws on the underside to remove the shell, but the one I did find wasn't holding the shell to the chassis.
anyone have any suggestions or help?

See the exploded view drawing that came with the loco.The pictures show where the screws are with a dotted line. Do you own a magnifier ?
