When first released, the rail truck had some problems with the gearing.   Would these have been eliminated in the model that are now on the market?
   Thanks for the input.

Hi Bob,

Yes the problem was resolved after the first run. The trick is to be sure you are getting new stock, since the Bachmann stock numbers did not change after the first run.

This is the detail of what was wrong and how to fix it.  It is fairly simple and I had to do it to mine.

Hey there,
Since someone has made a topic for this particular Bachmann product, I'd like to make a post about it as well.  I've kind of been interested in getting one of Bachmann's rail trucks for my collection, but I've been looking for the red and black one.  As it always goes for me, I'm after stock that has been discontinued.  I'm finding every color of truck online except for the one I want.  Any idea's when Bachmann introduced the rail truck in large scale and when they stopped making it?

Came out in 2005 remained in the catalog til 2013.   When stocks are real low Bachmann offers the remaining stock to dealers at a very low wholesale price to move them out of the warehouse to their stocking dealers.

You could try calling large stocking dealers or try your luck on Ebay.
