Need Some Suggestions

Last year I purchased a Bachmann Sante Fe train set and expander set for my son. 

Now I'm looking to purchase a new steam locamotive and tender. I would like the set to contain the EZ-Command. I've seen a few.

I would like it to have the following (if possible):

-whistle
-smoke

Some questions:
Can the ez-command control switches?
Can the ex-command control whistle?

Any suggestions for a set would be greatly appreciated.

I think EZ Command is being phased out due to its limitations.  I don't think you want to mix smoke and DCC.  Check this forum for comments about smoke.  No veteran modeler uses smoke indoors.

Dear George,
EZ Command (which is not being phased out) will control sound (if you have a sound decoder equipped loco) and switches (if they're DCC equipped switches). Presumably one could connect a smoke unit to a decoder; none of our DCC locos have smoke.
