Bachmann, has there been any thought to the smaller Maine 2 ft engines.

Hi,

I would like to see a smaller Forney like WWF #9 or even the tiny #10 running in the WWF museum at the moment. With limited space and tight radius curves, these engines would be very welcome

WWF #10 was originally a 30 inch gauge  Lousiana sugar plantation locomotive. Thus it would be nice model for ON30. However I expext any 0-4-4 Forney from Bachmann would be a bit larger, say around 16-18 tons as this was a common size for the Maine two footers. There is a good case for a smallish  0-4-4 Forney, there were quite a lot in Maine and over all they were probably more widespread than the 2-4-4s, giving them wider generic appeal. However whether Bachmann would produce a second Forney relatively soon after the first one is may be questionable when there are a lot of competing prototypes being suggested.

For me WWF #10 is a real jewel and fun to watch up close and personal.

Having a small forney like this would enable me to include that type on my narrow radius curve layout, plus it would look very nice pulling smaller rolling stock.
