NYC Niagra 4-8-4 5016 bodyshell?

Hello everyone! New comer here and Ive got a little problem, I bought a damaged NYC niagra loco at a train show last month that apparently looks it took a nosedive and the whole front end was really damaged. So i bought a new bodyshell from Bachmann and it appears that the screw mounts are very different (old one has one mount on the back below the cab,new one has 3 one in front 2 in back) So now i have to return this. Would bachmann still have the older body shells? The locos number is 5016. Any help will be appreciated

Hi. Sounds like yours was made before the design change to the newer running gear. I called Bachmann today trying to find a motor for my old N&W J Class. I was told they no longer carry parts for stuff that old. You might want to look at Ebay. While searching (bachmann parts) I found a couple older Niagaras being sold as parts. Most sellers will answer questions send addition pics on request. Hope that helps, good luck. Jim
