Amp Input - DCC Controller 44902

Hello:  I'm thinking to buy the EZ Command DCC controller - model 44902. But, I'm not comfortable with only 1 amp of power for my new On30 layout.  Please recommend an outside supplier of a 2 or 3 amp transformer which I could connect to. I notice Bachmann has a 5 amp booster, but that's too expensive for me.

You want more power add a DCC booster or acquire a different DCC system.

Do not use a transformer rated higher than the one supplied by Bachmann as it is matched to the ratings of the electronic components inside the E-Z Command. To increase power of the E-Z Command Control Center requires the use a DCC booster connected between the E-Z Command Control Center and the track.  There are suitable less expense DCC boosters available than the one Bachmann sells. However, this Bachmann site is not the place to identify them.
