Rich; in Jan, 1960, I bought my very first tool-a Weller dual-heat soldering gun.  As I was starting to experiment with sounds,   recording (was a big fan of Les Paul and all he did for the industry), Guitar Amps, etc, this was a good tool to have.  July, 2015; I still have it.  Gone through many tips.  Still works good-like a Weller should...
Question:  Have you ever worked with Clover House tie strips?  How are they to work with?

I made my own at one time. Just had to make sure there was a gap so as to not short the track voltage.

Very good for hand laid turnouts. I made stub turnouts at one time.
