Need part

The screw that holds the cab onto the 4-6-0 frame, appears to be no. 10005 from the parts diagram. Somehow it worked loose, fell out, and is lost.

It's not in the 4-6-0 parts available list. Is it included with another engine? Any ideas how I can get one ?

Go to the hardware store or electronics store any any store that sells really small screws and see what they have in stock and find one that will do the job.

It doesn't have to be the "right" screw, just one that works.

I have a drawer in my tool caddy that's labelled "Small Screws" and I keep a good selection of odd ball screws in there and that's where I'll usually find one that's close enough.

The hardware is Metric and quite small as you know. You might try a screw from an old laptop PC if you have one hanging around. The laptops use a flat-head screw with Phillips head and are Metric. Holds the case on the bottom. You will need a Philips head screw driver. They come in Jewellers screw driver sets sold almost anywhere. One screw out of a laptop case will not be a big deal.
A tiny wood screw might work. Take the other screw out to compare.

You might want to look into getting an assortment like this:

Don't use a wood screw though, even a small one. The tapered shape can split the plastic as it goes in. If all else fails, use a small sheet metal screw that has a consistent diameter for it's entire length.

Go on the Bachmann parts site here.  A lot of time, when you research parts, you will find that the same parts for one engine will also be used in other engines.

No problem. When my shop was open, I used to buy bulk packs of screws from them all the time. Their prices are very reasonable compared to many others, especially for the metric stuff.
